Danshajing, the name of the allusion, is the classic of baopuzi · Xianyao by Jin Gehong. Liao family's residence has a long life. It's because the well water contains cinnabar. Later, it was called "dansha well" because of its excellent water quality and longevity.

"There is a family of the Liao family, whose age is about 100 years old or 80 or 90 years old. When he retreated, his descendants became numerous and died young. Other people live in their former residence, as old as ever, after the examination of life. This is what the house did, and I don't know why. It is suspected that the water in the well is very red, so we tried to dig the well. The ancients buried a few pieces of red sand and went to a few feet. Because the spring gradually entered the well, the red sand juice was born by drinking its water. "

Profile

Ge Hong was a famous doctor in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He was named Zhichuan, baopuzi and Jurong (now from Zhenjiang). He was the mediator of preventive medicine. He is the author of "behind the elbow", in which some infectious diseases, such as smallpox and tsutsugamushi, are recorded first. "Tian Xing FA ban Chuang" is the earliest record of smallpox in the world. He also had a lot of experience in alchemy. The book baopuzi neipian specifically describes the chemical knowledge of alchemy of gold, silver and pills, and also introduces many material properties and material changes. For example, "the red mercuric sulfide (cinnabar) is decomposed by heating red mercuric sulfide (cinnabar), and the black mercuric sulfide can be formed by adding mercury and sulfur, and then red mercuric sulfide can be formed. The reversibility of chemical reaction is described. Another example is "once green coated iron, iron red as copper", which describes the reaction of iron replacing copper, and so on. The painting of Ge Zhichuan's migration is painted by Wang Meng of Yuan Dynasty and collected in the Palace Museum. "Figure painting · Gexian spitting fire" was painted by Guo Xu in Ming Dynasty and collected in Shanghai Museum.
