Banchengzi reservoir

The construction started in November 1975 and the dam was completed in July 1976. 850000 cubic meters of earthwork have been completed. It has a total storage capacity of 10.2 million cubic meters, a normal water surface area of 373000 square meters, and controls 66.1 square kilometers of the upper reaches of the faniu river. It has a dam, a spillway, a water conveyance tunnel and a power station. The dam is an asphalt concrete inclined wall sand gravel earth dam with a maximum height of 29 meters and a crest length of 185 meters. A power station with 250 dry watts installed capacity will be built under the dam. The average annual water supply is 4.5 million cubic meters, the average annual power generation is more than 300000 kwh, and the irrigation area is 20000 mu.
