Tomb of Zhao Ruyu

Zhao Ruyu's tomb, a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province, is located in Qingshan temple at the north foot of miaohaofeng, Tianxin District, Changsha City. It covers an area of about 500 square meters.

The tomb faces north from the south. It is located at Miao peak in the South and a stone foundation about 4 meters high in the north, making the cemetery a platform close to the mountain. In the middle of the platform, there is an oval tomb surrounded by granite. In the south, there is a wall about 2 meters high near the mountain. In the southeast corner, there is a door to connect with the outside. In the north, there is a stone guardrail facing the stone foundation. There is a Huabiao in the East and West. There are more than 30 steps in the middle of the stone foundation. The first inscription on the stele is "Tomb of King Zhaofu Zhongding of the Southern Song Dynasty", the second year of Qingyuan of the Southern Song Dynasty is buried at Bingchen, and the second year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty is renovated at gengxu. In the middle of the stele is a tablet written by Ye Dehui, a famous scholar in Changsha in the late Qing Dynasty. About 10 meters in front of the platform, there is a tomb on the right side. Zhao Ruyu, a native of Yugan (now Jiangxi Province) in Raozhou, was an official of the Song Dynasty. He was vilified by Han Yuzhou and demoted to Yongzhou. When he was killed in Hengyang, he was later granted the title of King Fu and his posthumous title was Zhongding. Because of his death on the journey, there are different opinions about the burial site. This tomb may be a tomb for clothes and crowns. Some of the original tombs were destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution", and now Changsha Municipal People's government and Tianxin District People's government are planning to gradually restore them. ?
