Urumqi children's Park is located at No.47 youyou North Road in the center of the city, bordering on Xinjiang people's hall, Xinjiang International Expo Center, Xinjiang science and Technology Museum, Xinjiang Medical University and General Hospital of Xinjiang Military Region, covering an area of about 200000 square meters. It is the only comprehensive children's Park in Xinjiang integrating science popularization education, entertainment and garden appreciation.

Landscape of the park

In 1981, the Municipal People's government decided to build a Beiyi park opposite the Kunlun Hotel. In 1987, the park was officially opened and named children's Park. At present, there are more than 30 kinds of amusement facilities, many garden attractions, more than 200 kinds of trees, flowers and plants, with green space coverage rate of 86%, and annual reception of 500000 tourists.

In recent years, the park has held large-scale activities every year, attracting tourists from all ethnic groups to visit. In 1995, the children's Park held the cultural and art exhibition of "the earth is popular in the Ninth Five Year Plan". It used 40000 red umbrellas to form various shapes, making the park a red ocean and creating a red sensation in Urumqi. In 1999, the park successfully held a "large-scale flower modeling exhibition in Urumqi". The park cultivated more than 400000 seedlings, formed 220000 seedlings, upper basin 150000 seedlings, and 80000-90000 formed seedlings as backup. There are 19 theme modeling, and nearly 20 groups of small modeling and small scenic spot modeling. Flower belts are still distributed throughout the park. At the same time, a professional flower arrangement and bonsai art competition was held, in which there were more than 80 pots of fresh cut flowers and more than 300 pots of bonsai. It became the largest and most profitable flower exhibition in the history of Urumqi, with more than 200000 visitors. In 2000, the Park held the "2000 China Urumqi Flower Expo" again. The theme of the Expo was named "environment and nature", which fully reflects people's attention to the protection, improvement and optimization of the ecological environment at the beginning of the new century. In the East, West and central area of the park, the Expo is divided into several districts. Each scenic spot is composed of several large, medium and small shapes. In the form of flower border and flower belt, relying on the park's original lake and mountain scenery and terrain advantages, it forms a simple and elegant artistic shape with beautiful vision and rich cultural connotation and artistic conception. In the use of flower materials, plants, flowers and other ecological elements should be used to strengthen its authenticity and visibility.
