Nanda Temple

Nandasi, a mosque, is close to the south end of Jiefang South Road in Urumqi. Nantaizi, originally located in Nanshan, Urumqi, was moved here for reconstruction in 1919. The main building of NANDA temple is the worship hall, which is convex in plane.

Nandaisi, roof front for heavy eaves Xieshan style, covered with glazed tiles. The eaves ridge is decorated with tiles such as Erlong Xizhu, the five layers of painting boards under the eaves are painted with colorful patterns such as curly grass, flower patterns, and the ridge purlin is carved with 22 flying dragons. The rear part of the hall is built with brick walls and the front part is equipped with wooden lattice doors.

In NANDA temple, the walls on both sides of the walking corridor are carved with four picture screens of orchid, plum, bamboo and lotus. The main hall is divided into inner and outer halls. The outer hall is 15 meters deep and 22 meters wide, and the inner hall is 15 meters deep and 15 meters wide. The hall can accommodate thousands of people for worship. There are also propaganda building, shower pool, Imam house and reception room for foreign guests in the temple.
