Xiangfeng lane is known as "the narrowest Lane in Jinan City".
Information
Xiangfeng alley is located in the old urban area of Jinan. It starts from Pingquan Hutong in the East and ends at Furong street in the West. It is the narrowest alley in Jinan, with a width of only 80 cm. This alley was formed by the wall cracks of houses on both sides in the past, commonly known as "wall crack alley". Later, it is homonymous with Xiangfeng alley, which means to let Fenghuang fly here for good luck.
History
In those years, the Qing army invaded Jinan, captured King Zhu Youshu alive, set fire to King De's house, and gradually abandoned a large area of Zhuoying lake and other places in the west of the house for the people. Zhuoying lake is also known as Wangfu pool. Some rich people are optimistic about this spring resort and try to buy land and build houses here. As a result, xigengdao street, xiyuanmen street, Weijia Hutong, wangfuchizi street and other streets and alleys have gradually formed.
At that time, the houses built on both sides of the east section of Xiangfeng lane were so close to each other that only one person could walk away from the lane. In the South and north of the road, there were Zhangqiu people who were doing business in Jinan. They built houses across the road. As soon as they saw it, if they continued to learn how to build houses in the East, the lane would become too narrow, so they both proposed to "give way", meaning to build houses a little bit backward. As a result, after the two houses were built, the second houses in the west section of the lane all gave way, and finally made the road wider. Later, people called the alley "rang rang lane". But Zhangqiu people read "Rang" as "Lang" and "rang lane" as "Lang lane". In order to make the name of the lane better, some people suggest that it be called "wall crack lane", because this lane is actually formed by the wall cracks of the houses on both sides. This is called for many years. Later, a man of culture came out of the alley. He proposed that there was a Qifeng bridge in the alley. Let's call it "Xiangfeng lane" with the homonym of "wall crack lane". It's auspicious. To this day, on the wall of a room in the street, there are still carved stones of "Xiangfeng lane" in the first year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty.
