Therefore, demon mountain is also known as Fushou mountain and Lingying mountain.

Legend of demon mountain

When scholars who are familiar with myths and legends first saw the demon mountain, they thought of the myth and legend of the queen mother of the west, so this mountain became the location of the Yaqing dragon in the town of the queen mother of the West. However, those who came to Urumqi from Xikou were more familiar with journey to the west, so demon mountain became the residence of the ox demon king and became the most vivid page in the Western version of journey to the West. Although qinglielong and Chilong were oppressed by Xiwangmu under the demons mountain and Hongshan mountain, the Urumqi River, which was like a runaway wild horse, was often inundated. The people thought that the two dragons were troubling. Urumqi built a tower of demons on the demons mountain and Hongshan mountain to pray for a good harvest.
