Xingfuliu square is located in the north of Daxin village in the eastern suburb of Jinan City, bordering on Gongye North Road in the South and Xiaoqing River in the north. It covers an area of 120 mu. It was built by farmers in Daxin village, Wangsheren Town, Licheng District, Jinan City to commemorate the 41st anniversary of Chairman Mao's two visits to Daxin village. On April 13 and September 21, 1959, Chairman Mao Zedong visited Daxin village twice. Under a big willow tree in the field, Chairman Mao had a cordial conversation with the cadres and the masses and conducted investigation and research, which greatly inspired the cadres and the masses in Daxin village. The cadres and the masses called this big willow tree "happy willow" and carved a stone tablet as a memorial.

Brief introduction to the square

The square was started on September 21, 2000, with a total investment of 12 million yuan and an area of 8 hectares. It is the second largest square in Jinan, the provincial capital. Centering on the happy willow, the square is divided into three parks: Happy willow sculpture group, shijiding Yinshang culture and Liuhe garden, which embodies the characteristics of commemorative, humanistic, natural and open mass culture square.
