Dongshan pearl island produces sea pearls with large grains, good roundness, few defects, high smoothness, fine texture and even color, which belong to the high-quality "Nanzhu" system. As the old saying goes, "the West Pearl is not as good as the east pearl, and the east pearl is not as good as the South Pearl". The reputation of the South Pearl has existed since ancient times. According to historical records, Dongshan Pearl Island has been rich in pearls since the "Five Dynasties period", which shows that Dongshan pearl has a long history.
Dongshan Pearl Island is the only place in Shenzhen to produce seawater pearls. It is adjacent to "qiniangshan" in the south, Dapengao in the north, central islands of Daya Bay in the East and across the sea from Daya Bay nuclear power station. The predecessor of Shenzhen Dongshan Pearl Island Industrial Co., Ltd. is Shenzhen Dongshan pearl farm Co., Ltd.
