Rongguang Bridge
Rongguang bridge, also known as Keqiao bridge, is located on the ancient canal in Keqiao Town, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.
The bridge is 17 meters long, 6 meters wide, 7 meters high and has a clear span of 10 meters. The bridge is recorded in Kuaiji Zhi of Jiatai. According to Fu Tao's preface to Ode to flute: "Cai Yong took refuge in Jiangnan, stayed in the pavilion of keting, and took the rafters as flutes. (Note: keting is in Kuaiji county.) By quoting the allusion of "Ke Qiao Chuan Di" by Cai Yong, a general of Zhonglang in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the local chronicles just want to verify the existence of Ke Qiao in the Han Dynasty. The arch of the existing bridge is built vertically and in parallel. It was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. When it was rebuilt, it was still the same as the original bridge type of the Song Dynasty, and the original stone was still used. Now it can still be regarded as the song bridge. The bridge is recorded in the history of Chinese science and Technology (bridge volume).
In May 2013, Rongguang bridge was merged with Bazi bridge, Guangning bridge, Guangxiang bridge, Taiping Bridge, Xiegong bridge, Silong bridge, tifan bridge, Jiedu bridge, Baiwang bridge, Jingkou bridge, xikuahu bridge and Yingen bridge, named Shaoxing ancient bridge group, and listed in the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
