Cimen Temple

Among the twelve sceneries of Qinghua Pavilion, "cimenjie Pavilion" is a famous ancient temple in Zhujiajiao. It is located on the Bank of fangshengqiao and Caogang river. It was first built in the Zhizheng period of the Yuan Dynasty and was formerly known as "Mingyuan Temple". In Jiajing of Ming Dynasty, it was destroyed by the disaster of soldiers. In the fifth year of Longqing, the monk "Zhan Yin" raised money to rebuild the main hall, which is called the new hall. It is said that a pair of eyes of the Tathagata Buddha in the main hall look as if they are alive, and they will shine at night. They are inlaid with "cat's eyes" gems. There is a dark room under the cushion of the Tathagata Buddha, which leads directly to the Dianshan Tongling spring. The main hall is decorated with stone pillars with red eaves and eighteen Arhats. In the 39th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, the temple was granted the name of "mingyuancimen temple for protecting the country", and a statue of wuszang was given, with 20 scriptures. For this purpose, Guanyin Pavilion and cangjing Pavilion were specially built in the temple to treasure these two treasures. As a result, the temple became famous and fragrant. In 1628, a bell tower was built on the left side of the hall. The tower is 6 Zhang 2 feet (20 meters) high and weighs 2500 Jin. The sound of the bell hitting is more than 20 Li. After several wars, the temple gradually declined. During the period of the Republic of China, the temple was changed into a hospital. In the late 1940s, only the main hall, bell tower and other buildings survived. In the early 1950s, the county people's hospital was built at the original site of the temple. Now it is the inpatient department of Zhujiajiao people's hospital. There is only one male and one female Ancient Ginkgo biloba on the old site, which is still tall and green. [
