Horseshoe well

Horseshoe well, there is an ancient well not deep outside Chima village on Naozhou island. Local people call it horseshoe well, also known as song Huangjing. Why is it also called songhuangjing? According to historical records on the island, in the 1870s, the army of the Yuan Dynasty went south, conquering Lin'an (now Hangzhou) and reunifying China. In the Southern Song Dynasty, right prime ministers Lu Xiufu, Wen Tianxiang and other officers and soldiers escorted song Ruizong, who was only 11 years old, and his younger brother Zhao Min, who was king of Wei, to flee from the sea to Xuzhou, where they stationed in Chima village. A Liema gouged a Koizumi hole under the hillside outside the village, and then was dug into a well by soldiers, which has been used for more than 700 years.

Origin of scenic spots

In August, the painting of Zhanjiang entered the island of Naozhou, and the gathering group came to song Huangjing to explore. A huge ancient banyan tree beside the well is very vigorous. Under the trees, the wind is blowing and the shade is pleasant. The Songhuang well is less than three meters deep, clear and about one meter above the ground. The trickle of spring water from the well flows in the low-lying land outside the well, clear and sweet. Everyone leaned over to wash their hands and face, and the summer heat subsided. In talking and laughing, some people joked that if you use this kind of water to wash your hands, you will have a good hand in playing cards. It made everyone marvel and praise.
