Wan'an building

Wan'an building, located in Renjia village, Chengxi Town, Longhai, was built in 1802. It is a four story circular residential building with civil structure and northeast facing southwest. It covers an area of 615.04 square meters, with a height of 16 meters and a wall thickness of 1.2 meters. The bottom wall is built with 3-meter-high stone. The top wall is made of sand ash triad soil. A pair of large doors are opened in the southwest. The depth of the door wall is 1.4 meters, the inner wall is arched frame, and the outer wall is rectangular frame. The door is 3 meters high and 1.5 meters wide 9 meters, inlaid with stone plaque, engraved with "Wan'an building".

Wan'an building is located in Renjia village, Chengxi Town, Longhai City, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, covering an area of 615.04 square meters. It is a four story circular residential building with a height of 1.6 meters and a wall thickness of 1.2 meters. The bottom wall is built with 3-meter-high strips of stone. The top wall is made of sand ash triad soil, and a pair of major doors are opened in the southwest. The door wall is 1.4 meters deep, with a round arch frame inside and a rectangular frame outside. The door is 3 meters high and 1.9 meters wide. It is inlaid with flat stones and engraved with "Wan'an tower". Inside the building are housing, corridor and patio. There are 8 fan-shaped houses on each floor. The depth of the houses is 5 meters and the area is 41 square meters. The corridor is 2 meters wide. Each floor is supported by 12 columns with a diameter of 0.6 meters. The bottom floor is made of stone columns. The patio in the building is 7.5 meters in diameter. There is a water well in the patio. The well is a hexagonal stone structure. H-shaped windows are opened around the wall to prevent bandits.

Historical evolution

Wan'an building was built in the seventh year of Jiaqing (1802) of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the northeast and faces the southwest. After liberation, it was used as a warehouse and storehouse. Wan'an tower has a history of more than 200 years. It has been attacked by many typhoons, rainstorms and earthquakes. It still retains its original appearance.
