Nanyuan park is a park with a profound historical background. It used to be a middle school, an underground activity place of the Communist Party, and later changed into a park. Non staple food companies have set up feed farms here, so Nanyuan park has been closed to the outside world for some time. Later, Nanyuan Park was restored. On June 1, 1964, Nanyuan Park was opened to the public for the second time. However, because it was borrowed as the construction site of Dapu Road Huangpu River tunnel project, it was forbidden to open to the outside world again. The northern half of the park was built with green space, so Nanyuan park has experienced the third opening. So many repeated processes make the park more full of vicissitudes. In Nanyuan Park, there are annular flower beds, mushroom shaped pavilions, goldfish ponds, etc., as well as various arbors such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides, cypress, Podocarpus arvensis, Magnolia grandiflora, etc.
