Pengpu Park

Pengpu Park, located in Jingchang Middle Road, Pengpu Township, Shanghai, is a municipal garden. It was built in March 1983 and officially opened on December 28, 1984. The park has a natural layout, which is divided into inner Park and outer park. The outer garden is open and open, with Huangshi rockeries stacked at the entrance, and a view wall and scaffolding are built to block the view. The inner garden is winding and deep, with pavilions, corridors, scaffolding, bamboo clumps and woods. Located outside the gate of the park, Huangshi rockery is 7 meters long, 2 meters wide and 5 meters high. It is surrounded by Podocarpus arvensis, Prunus hongyeensis, Phyllostachys pubescens, ten sisters and Ophiopogon japonicus.

About the park

Pengpu park is located in Jingchang middle road of Pengpu township. It was built in March 1983. It is one of the 15 practical things that Shanghai municipal government did in 1984. It is a park for entertainment and rest of residents in Pengpu new village.

On the east side of the gate to the park is a view wall, 16 meters long and 3.6 meters high. It is a reinforced concrete structure. It extends 2 meters from north to South and then turns to west. It has a yellow mosaic edge. There are rectangular leaky windows on the wall. The west side of the wall is Wisteria trellis, which is of reinforced concrete structure. The trellis faces north and is single, 11 meters long, 2.5 meters wide and 4.5 meters high. The four columns are decorated with lattice windows, and two Wisteria plants are planted. Magnolia grandiflora, Osmanthus fragrans, Begonia, Gardenia jasminoides, Rhododendron, Podocarpus arvensis, Ligustrum lucidum, hypericum, longbaiqiu and cixiaozhu are planted on the north and south sides of the scaffolding.
