Kunshan park is located at No.13, Kunshan Huayuan Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, covering an area of 3024 square meters. It was founded in 1893 and officially opened on July 19, 1898. The park was originally named Hongkou Park, and was renamed Kunshan park on June 23, 1934. On the eve of the liberation of Shanghai in 1949, the garden was destroyed and looked like a ruin. It was restored and opened in 1950. In 1968, the land of the park was occupied, brick kilns were built, air defense works were dug, and the trees in the park were completely destroyed.

The park was rebuilt in 1981. It was opened again on May 1, 1983. In October 1999, the Garden Management Office of Hongkou District carried out renovation and reconstruction on the premise of maintaining the original style of the park, which made the park take on a new look.
