Historical evolution

In 2008, in order to cooperate with the construction of the East-West corridor, a major project in Shanghai, the exhibition hall moved 9.13 meters north and 2 meters east to its present position. It is also this overall translation project that has preserved the exhibition hall of about 600 square meters to today.

Entering the exhibition hall, the first one came to the preview hall. The front wall of a TV wall played the documentary of Pudong's development and opening. Although there are only four desks in the office, they are equipped with eight chairs. The commentator said that this is a replica of the office scene of that year. Two or three people shared a desk. Everyone worked in turn, and each person could only get one drawer."

There are also 30-year-old originals in this exhibition area. For example, a hand-held mimeograph and a Chinese typewriter, in the years when they were still working, many documents that determined the important course of Pudong's development and opening up were born. An "old tank" Phoenix Bicycle represents an important means of transportation for office workers.

The first floor also displays a group of vivid animal works of Art - statues of sheep, horse, eagle, elephant, ox and bear, and a painting of penguin. They were copies of six gifts presented by the management committee to the Shanghai Branch of the people's Bank of China, Fuji Bank of Japan, China Merchants tower, headquarters of Taihua international bank, Shanghai Stock Exchange and headquarters of BaBaiBan international group.

The exhibits on the second floor are mainly photos and models.
