Wenjingshan Park

Wenjingshan park is located in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, covering an area of 439.5 mu. The park is 13 kilometers away from the city center, northeast of the north railway station, south of Wenjing Road, north of the canal.

There are 78 kinds of plants planted in the park, including 6836 arbors, 424749 shrubs, 1767 square meters of aquatic plants, 3334 nests of bamboo, and 50010 square meters of lawn. There are recreational and convenient facilities such as rest Pavilion, ecological pool, sports square, etc. in the park, which can provide leisure and entertainment places for the surrounding citizens and passengers from the north railway station.

Introduction to the park

Wenjingshan park used to be an ancient river course of the Weihe River. Due to the large-scale exploitation of river sand by the surrounding people, it has been covered with more than 40 sand pits, large and small, and become desolate. In 2010, in order to improve the surrounding environment of the north railway station and create a beautiful ecological landscape park for the surrounding residents and passengers, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government decided to build a comprehensive park wenjingshan Park in the northeast of the north railway station. At the same time, in order to effectively absorb and utilize the construction waste around the north railway station, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government tried to use the construction waste in wenjingshan park.

Since the beginning of 2011, after two years of construction, the first phase of the park has been completed, including land leveling, muck clearing and rolling, landscape greening, ecological pool and so on. More than 3.3 million cubic meters of construction muck have been absorbed, and 40 meters of artificial mountain have been built. There are 78 kinds of plants planted in the park, including 6836 trees, 424749 shrubs, 1767 square meters of aquatic plants, 3334 nests of bamboo, 50010 square meters of lawns, etc There are recreational and convenient facilities such as rest Pavilion, ecological pool and Sports Square, which can provide leisure and entertainment places for the surrounding citizens and passengers from the north railway station.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture, it is the first case in our city to make use of the construction waste to build a garden. The completion of the first phase of wenjingshan park is a new milestone in the construction of our city's Park, and also adds a new channel for the recycling of our city's construction waste.

The second phase project of the park is expected to be completed in 2014. It will focus on the construction of functional areas such as mountain water system, rockery waterfall and ecological leisure square, highlighting the historical and cultural characteristics and comprehensive service functions. After the full completion of the park, the greening rate will reach 72%, becoming another landmark building in the north gate of Xi'an.
