Funan River generally refers to Jinjiang River (a tributary of Minjiang River in Yangtze River System)

Jinjiang River is the two main rivers of Minjiang River flowing through Chengdu City. Fu River and Nan River are also called Funan River.

Jinjiang refers to the Jinjiang river passing through the urban area of Chengdu. It is the two main rivers of Minjiang River flowing through the urban area of Chengdu. Fu River and Nan River are collectively called Funan River. Fuhe River and Nanhe River meet at Hejiang Pavilion, and then go to the East and south to the Yangtze River via Leshan and Yibin. Some people call the river after the confluence of Hejiang Pavilion Jinjiang. The water system of Jinjiang District includes Jinjiang River (including Fuhe River, upper Nanhe River and Jinjiang River), Shahe River, Dougou River, Xiushui River, xiwayan River, Hongmiaozi flood drainage channel, Fuma flood drainage channel, PANJIAGOU flood drainage channel, nanzhisanqu, hejiachong flood drainage channel, Huangsha River and Yanjiagou flood drainage channel; the lake reservoir includes Donghu Lake, Meixiang lake and bailuwan. Jinjiang River and Shahe River are the total outlets of rain and sewage in the city. There are more than 10 small and medium-sized rivers, which are responsible for agricultural irrigation, flood control, sewage discharge and other functions.

Fu River and Nan River, the mother river of Chengdu, Fu River (formerly known as Pi River) and Nan River (formerly known as Jian River and Jin River) are two artificially dug rivers around Chengdu. Fuhe River is a tributary from Jianjiang River in Chongyi town of Dujiangyan City, formerly known as Pixiang river. It goes around the north gate of Chengdu and then goes down to the east to join with Nanhe river. In Tang Dynasty, Pixiang River passed under Fucheng and became a moat, so it was called Fucheng river. The South River is a branch of the Minjiang River when Li Bing built Dujiangyan. It is called zouma river. When it flows to Pixian County, it is called Qingshui River. When it flows through Dufu thatched cottage, it is called South River.
