Fuqian Lane

Fuqian lane was founded in 1931. Putian County Public Stadium was established in Xinghua Government Office (commonly known as Fuli) in the late Qing Dynasty. Its south passage is more than 100 meters long from "wuchengmen" to the west, which is called "Fuqian lane". On the south side of the lane are "Museum", power plant (later changed into power supply station), grain station, Confucius Temple, etc.; the north passage is about 200 meters long from now "Xinjiekou" to "ruanxiangkou", which is called "Fuqian lane"“ There are Chengxiang supply and marketing agency, health care hospital, Xiyan Hotel and hydrological station.

present situation

In the reconstruction of the old city, Fuhou lane is widened and extended to the foot of Fenghuang mountain, 50 meters wide and 2 kilometers long. It is named "Wenxue West Road". It connects gulouqian Wenxue middle road in the East and leads to kuokou new station. It is the broadest and most prosperous east-west traffic trunk road in the city, with many tall buildings, adjacent shops, prosperous economy and developed culture. It is the center of the city. The stadiums, old stations and transportation bureaus have all been demolished and rebuilt into a modern livable new town, Wenxue pedestrian street, with complete facilities and various functions, which will become a landmark building in Putian. Xiamo river flows from west to south to east around the periphery of the area, which can be regarded as the "moat" of the new area.
