Dongshi forest farm can be called the capital of flowers. It is a diversified recreational place, located in dongxinli, Dongshi District, Taichung city. It integrates the natural ecological resources of flowers, birds, fireflies and forest bath, and is the largest physical mountain training ground in China. It was famous a hundred years ago. It covers an area of more than 200 hectares and is luxuriant in trees. After 20 or 30 years, there are many kinds of trees and flowers. The altitude is about 500 meters. It is very cool in summer. It is a summer resort.

The main color of the forest farm is the landscape change with four distinct seasons. The venue is mainly a rural youth activity center, with well-equipped barbecue area, rainy day camping activity field, cabin area, forest bathing beach, horse riding field, orange garden, mysterious valley, lover's Valley, etc. It also has the largest mountain fitness training ground in China, which is designed according to age, gender and physical fitness. It has many facilities such as water sports, obstacle breakthrough, artificial ski path and so on. Plum blossom appreciation and cherry blossom appreciation are important activities in the forest farm in winter. The plum garden is up to 30 hectares. The plum blossom period is from December to January every year, and the cherry blossom period is from January to February. At the same time, it is also the first recreation area in China where fireflies are reared in the wild, starting from April. In the butterfly valley near the entrance of the forest farm, dancing butterflies can be seen everywhere.

drive a car:

From Fengyuan interchange Road, follow provincial road 10A (Zhongzheng Road) to Fengyuan, and then from provincial road 3 to Dongshi District, then follow Shilin road to Dongshi forest farm. It's about 25 kilometers.

Hitchhiking:

Fengyuan passenger transport from Taichung and Fengyuan to Dongshi; Taiqi passenger transport from Taichung and Taichung to Lishan; and Dongshi from Taibei west station. It takes about two hours to get there by Shilin Industrial Road, and the whole journey is about 8 kilometers, or transfer to Fengyuan passenger transport from dongshilin to the forest farm, three times a day.
