Shengping Theater

Shengping theater is a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing. Located at No.1, West Chang'an Street, Xicheng District, Beijing. The theater building covers an area of 200 square meters. In the Qing Dynasty, Shengping department was in charge of playing music and performing in the court. In 1740, Nanfu was set up, and in 1827, it was changed to Shengping department. The former site includes the current Beijing 161 middle school. Located in a group of quadrangles, the theater building is well preserved. The North rooms in the courtyard are all in front of the pavilion, which is convenient for watching the performance.
