Tianzhuang reservoir
Tianzhuang reservoir is located in the north of Miyun County, Beijing; 200m north of Tianzhuang village, Shangdianzi township. Construction started in February 1958. It was destroyed by floods twice in 1958 and 1976. It was completed in October 1980. 136000 cubic meters of earthwork have been completed. The reservoir is mainly used to retain the base flow and flood of Longtan gully.

There are dams, spillways and water pipes. The dam is a combination of earth dam and masonry overflow dam. The maximum dam height is 22 meters, the crest length is 122 meters, the overflow dam height is 10 meters and the dam length is 6.0 meters. The annual water supply is 500000 cubic meters and the irrigation area is 2000 mu.
