Development history
A giant copper gourd with a height of 2.9 meters is placed on the square of the museum, which is the highest in the world. According to historical records, when Lin Zexu was ordered to go to Guangdong to ban opium, he was tired and suffered from heat stroke. After taking Wang Laoji herbal tea, he got rid of his illness the next day. So he presented a gourd shaped large copper pot with three gold characters "Wang Laoji" engraved on it, implying that the pot would help the world. Now, this big copper pot has been made again to satisfy the eyes of tourists.
In addition, the museum reproduces the life scenes of the old herbal tea shop through local stoves, firewood and medicinal tea pots. Through the high-tech interactive area, the audience can experience the process of making authentic herbal tea by hand. There are also the product packaging and advertising contents of Wang Laoji herbal tea in different times over the past 185 years. The combination of traditional and modern exhibition contents makes people forget to return.
