Houhe

Houhe River, called Gucheng River, is located in the upper reaches of Longqingxia. It originates from Haituo mountain, more than 30 kilometers northwest of Yanqing, and flows eastward into Gucheng reservoir, namely Longqingxia reservoir. Starting from Beijing, get on the bus at Deshengmen 919 of North 2nd Ring Road and get off at Yanqing bus station. There will be many small noodles outside the station in Yanqing. About 35 yuan, take Xiaomian to Longju villa. Yanqing drivers usually pull over the donkey friends, so that the driver can drive directly to the mountain pass.

Strategy of entering the mountain

At the entrance to the mountain, you can see a big dam with the big character "Longju gorge" written on it. Along the barbed wire, you can walk to the bottom of the dam. There is a small gate at the bottom of the dam. You can go up all the way through the fence to reach the peak pass (the time to reach the pass is about 40 minutes)

There are two roads to the back of the pass, one is directly to Houhe, the other is to beer Creek and Haituo mountain.

1. Left: go straight to no fork road, all the way down to Sujiahe, continue to yudushan scenic area dam, reservoir, scenery, and then continue to walk, you can come out to beer Creek.

2. Right: This is the way to Houhe

A section, direct descent, although there is a fork in the road, but also all can reach the river, the following is: after the river! Go down to the right and keep going in the direction of the current, passing by some nice campsites. Continue to walk, all the way along the river, tracing the river n times... Up and down... Walk about 1.5 hours, you will find a flat place, at this time, you have to make a fork in the road!

Section B, to the left, is to go to the valley in the direction of Wulipo, but we have to go to the right, about 20 minutes to get to the legendary "ghost house". After that house, along the path all the way to Longqing gorge, a large amount of water gathered here, a very beautiful scenery will appear in front of us.

Warm tips: you can choose to camp in the ghost house. It's very spacious, and there are many fish in Houhe river. You can bring corrupt fishing gear. When you return, you must return to Yanqing 919 bus station at 17 o'clock, or you will miss the last bus!

Equipment suggestion

1. Necessary equipment: backpack, tent (GG), sleeping bag, damp proof mat, climbing shoes, beach shoes (recommended), climbing stick, quick drying clothes, assault suit (or fleece), headlamp (flashlight), stove, gas tank, military Dao, lunch box, chopsticks, etc.

Because in the river, it is hard to avoid getting wet clothes, and the weather is cold at night, it is recommended to take clothes for change

2. Sunscreen and rainproof equipment: hat and gloves, sunglasses; raincoat or poncho (essential, mountainous climate changeable).

3. If it rains in the mountains and the temperature is low, be sure to bring warm clothes (assault coat or fleece).

5. Bring two simple lunch, one breakfast and one dinner (fruit, instant noodles, vacuum packaged food, etc.) with you.

6. Boys carry three liters of water, girls carry two liters of water.

7. Garbage bags are necessary. You must take away your own garbage.
