Dianjiang peony ecotourism area is the first batch of agricultural tourism demonstration sites in China, and the first national AA level tourism area in Dianjiang County. The tourist area is located in Taiping town of Dianjiang County, 126 kilometers away from the main urban area of Chongqing. The Shanghai Chengdu Expressway and Yuwu road run through the whole area, 9 kilometers away from the county. The tourist area covers an area of 30 square kilometers. It is famous for Dianjiang peony, also known as the "hometown of peony".

Background of peony ecological region

Dianjiang peony ecotourism area is unique in Chongqing and even the whole southwest. As far as the whole tourist area is concerned, there is a natural and simple, elegant and pleasant ecological environment with mountains, water, haze, stones, flowers and bamboos. It is the hometown of peony and the birthplace of natural wisdom of Xiushan, strange rocks, pure water and jungle. "The color of the country, the wine in the morning, the fragrance in the sky and the clothes in the night.". "Who is the master of Shaohua in spring, and the master of Qunfang is the peony.". "Only peony is really national color, and it moves the capital in the blooming season.". Dianjiang peony is the source of Chinese peony. It has been planted for nearly 3000 years since the reign of Emperor Wudi of the Western Han Dynasty. In the vast land of China, there is a saying that it is the source of Chinese peony. It is said that Gu Kaizhi, a painter of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, visited Dianjiang and was amazed when he first saw the beautiful peony flowers. He returned to Kyoto to create the painting volume of Luo Shen Fu, which created a historical precedent of peony painting in China and was listed as a treasure by the royal family for collection.

Introduction of peony

Dianjiang peony has large flower type, beautiful flower appearance and long flowering period. Its flower colors are bright red, rose red, pink, white, etc. there are more than 60 varieties, such as Taiping red, qiancengxiang, youshanyan, longhuachun, huguxian, luojianhong, mengshenjiao, zuilujiu, changkangle, etc. the planting area is more than 10000 mu, showing a natural three-dimensional distribution. Combined with mountains, water, stones, trees and forests, it has a special aesthetic value. It is in line with people's aesthetic taste of returning to nature and the fashion spirit of emphasizing ecological nature. When peony blooms, it is surrounded by flowers, elegant and majestic.

The main scenic spots of Dianjiang peony ecotourism area are: Taiping Lake, peony boutique Park, Peony Pavilion, peony exhibition room, peony culture square, bailing mountain peony Art Park, kaizhifeng Peony Culture Park, Shuangrufeng, Gongzhuling, songhuazhai, Taiping temple, Jinshan valley. They live in Peony farmhouse, Guizhu apartment, Taoyuan villa and Zhuyun tower; they eat farmhouse flavor, mountain barbecue and special stalls.
