Daliang Mountain

Daliang Mountain is located in Mishan town, Gaoping City, Jincheng City, north to south, belonging to Taihang Mountains. The main peak is 1009 meters above sea level. Daliang Mountain is located more than ten miles southeast of Gaoping City in Jincheng city. It is said that Lianpo once cultivated grain in this mountain, which is named Daliang Mountain.

In February 2020, in order to pay tribute to the medical workers who are struggling in the front line of anti epidemic, from the end of the epidemic to the end of 2020, the national medical workers can visit the scenic spot free of charge with their valid certificates.

Daliang Mountain, Gaoping

There are ancient temples and courtyards on the top of the mountain, with 360 steps. The peaks are strange, the valleys are quiet, and the scenery is beautiful. The mountain was originally named Motianling. In the battle of Changping in history, it used to be the command center, lookout tower and granary of the Zhao army, hence the name of Daliang Mountain. Zhao general Lianpo has been stationed here for two years, and has interpreted the historical story of replacing grain with sand and accumulating rice to make a mountain. In order to commemorate the old general of Lianpo, the local people built the Lianpo temple during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, and the temple was destroyed by the wars of the past dynasties.

"Daliang snow" is one of the eight great sceneries in Gaoping.

Why do we have to cultivate grain in high mountains?

In order to fight against the Qin army, Lianpo once stationed heavy troops in Motianling, northwest of Mishan village, dug ditches and built walls, and repeatedly defeated the invading enemies. One day, Lianpo went to Daliang Mountain to look at the terrain. He found that the terrain in the western half of the mountain was very gentle, while under the eastern hillside, there was yellow sand everywhere. Looking at the grain of rice like fine sand, I think of the lack of food in front of me. I'm afraid that the Qin army will know, and Lianpo suddenly comes up with a clever plan. So he ordered people to build large granaries on the Western hillside with reed mats and cowhide. After the granary was completed, he not only pulled the food of the general into the granary. Also will Dongshan slope of the yellow sand, also live in the warehouse. In this way, Daliang Mountain will be lively. Every day, there are vast vehicles carrying grain to the mountains, and there are also many carriages carrying grain everywhere. It's hard to tell whether it's true or not. The soldiers asked him in bewilderment, and said in a witty way, "are you not tired of deceit? Although you sand transporters work harder, it's no less effective than fighting in battle!"

As expected, the Qin army stationed in the west mountain was shocked to see a large granary on Daliang Mountain, and to see that the men and horses carrying grain of the Zhao army were not decapitated. As the saying goes, if there is grain in the army, people will not panic. This not only shows that the Zhao army has enough food and plans to stick to it for a long time, but also creates a kind of pressure on the Qin army who is short of food.

Qin Shuai didn't believe it, so he sent people to spy on it. Some spies passed by the granary door, but they didn't see the flaw. As a result, the Qin army was in a panic and had no fighting spirit. It was not until Zhao Kuo's defeat that Bai Qi sent people to move grain that he found that it was all yellow sand. Even Bai Qi admired the ingenuity of Lian Po's strategy. Later, people called this mountain Daliang Mountain and changed Motianling to yingfangling. There are also "Lianpo Tun" sites on the mountain.
