Xiamen Botanical Garden (Wanshi botanical garden)

Xiamen botanical garden, commonly known as "Wanshi botanical garden", is a well-designed botanical garden around wanshiyan reservoir. It is located in the north of Shishan mountain in the southeast of Xiamen City, separated from Xiamen University by a tunnel. There are more than 20 special gardens and planting areas in the park, including pine and fir garden, rose garden, palm garden, shade shed, introduction plant area, medicinal plant garden, large-scale cactus garden, baihuating, orchid garden, etc. more than 6000 tropical and subtropical plants are cultivated. No matter what season, there are unique scenery to enjoy, summer can cool off, winter can see cactus. The most exciting thing is that the highest point of the new stele forest overlooks half of Xiamen Island.

Traffic information: take bus No.3, 18, 19, 21, 809, get off at No.1 middle station and walk 300 meters

Transportation: you can take a sightseeing bus in Wanshi botanical garden from nanyangshan parking lot (near the West Gate) to national defense Park (near Wanshige). On the way, there are four stops: Tianjie temple, rainforest world, Psammophyte area and taipingyan. The first bus is at 07:40 and the last bus is at 17:20. It takes about 20 minutes.
