The first Phoebe forest in China

In Fengtou village at the foot of Jinfeng mountain, Dongping Town, Zhenghe County, Northern Fujian Province, there is a rare primitive Phoebe forest covering an area of 105 mu. There are Phoebe, camphor, rosewood, maple, bayberry, Castanopsis eyrei and other trees in the forest, among which Phoebe is the most, so it is called Phoebe forest. The diameter at breast height of the largest Phoebe is more than 150 cm, and its height is about 30 meters. According to the research of relevant departments, the trees are all about 600 years old. Phoebe bournei is a rare tree species in the world, which belongs to the second class protection tree species in China; Phoebe bournei is an ancient precious Phoebe forest with the best protection and the largest area in Fujian Province. Zhenghe County has taken measures to establish "fengtounanmu forest protection community".
