20 Li Pu Gong Bei

Shilipu Gongbei, also known as the Gongbei of South ancient temple of Wuyuan mountain, is located in the south suburb of Guyuan County, 10km away from the east side of Yinping highway and Baozhong railway. Across the Qingshui River, in the elegant environment with luxuriant trees, a temple with Chinese traditional architecture and Islamic architectural style stands on the mountain. It is magnificent, simple and elegant, solemn and mysterious. This is the famous Gongbei temple in Guyuan Shilipu.

history

There are different opinions about the beginning of the construction of Gongbei in erlipu. One is that it was built in the 13th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1585). According to folklore, it was founded in the Yuan Dynasty. It is said that an Iranian missionary granted by Kublai Khan, who had made outstanding achievements in unifying China in the Yuan Dynasty (i.e. the folk called "the pilgrim from the west"), once built a quiet room in Wuyuan mountain at erlipu to practice Taoism and spread Islam, which is the predecessor of Nanyuan temple in Wuyuan mountain. In the second year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1466), Shangren came to the west to return to their true life, and local Muslims built Gongbei for them. According to the historical manuscript of Hui art, Gongbei of Shilipu was founded in 1677 (the 16th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty) and expanded in 1754 (the 19th year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty). The inscription said: "the first immortals did not pass on their names. During the reign of Kangxi, every time the villagers saw someone chanting scriptures in the mountains, they could not see them near. Later, an old man from the western regions came here and said that there was a tomb left by the first immortals in this mountain. My religion preached and worshipped it. According to it, I got the epitaph, which was written in the second year of Chenghua. ".

According to the inscriptions in the temple, Xu Da, Duke Ding of Ming Dynasty, Zhao Tingrui, censor of the capital, Yang Yiqing, General Governor of three sides, and Ma Xiong, governor of Liuzhou, Guangxi, all contributed to the construction of Gongbei of nangu temple. Gongbei was destroyed in the war in the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. Lei zhengwan, governor of Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, rebuilt it at that time.

During the Republic of China, Gongbei was rebuilt. At that time, according to the mountain situation, Gongbei had three courtyards from top to bottom, 90 multistep steps connecting up and down, 81 houses, and an iron flagpole with a height of 15 meters was erected at the gate (it is said that it was donated by Yang Yiqing, the general manager of the three sides of the Qing Dynasty). Gongbei was destroyed during the cultural revolution. It was rebuilt in 1982.

At present, the Gongbei of Shilipu is located on the Wuyuan mountain platform more than 50 meters along the Qingshui River. The overall architectural momentum of Gongbei is majestic, simple and spectacular. The first entrance is the hall, the second entrance is the courtyard, the third entrance is the brick square, the fourth entrance is the inner door, the fifth entrance is the tomb, and the sixth entrance is the backyard. There are buildings, towers, pavilions, pavilions, Zhaobi, hexagons, etc. The green pines and cypresses in the courtyard have a quiet and elegant environment.

It was founded in the 16th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi. Due to many natural or man-made reasons, it has been damaged many times and repaired and expanded many times. The architectural pattern and style fully show the strong cohesion of Islamic culture and Chinese traditional culture. First, the cultural atmosphere of traditional Chinese architecture integrates Islamic architectural style. Second, it fully shows the carving and painting technology containing Islamic culture.
