Fengyueguan is located in the birthplace of Fuyang River in the new urban area of Fengfeng mining area, where shenmi and nangu mountains face each other from north to south. It is a famous scenic spot in Handan city with beautiful scenery.

Development history

Fengyueguan, known as fukouxing in ancient times, is the fourth of the eight Xings in Taihang and has always been a military pass. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Cao, a military strategist, used this natural danger to defeat yuan Shang's army. At the end of Sui Dynasty, Dou Jiande, a peasant army, also annihilated the officers and soldiers of Dou Zong. There is a natural cave under the cliff in the south of xingkou. It is said that it is the cave of Heilong, who dominates human drought and flood. It is called "Heilong cave". The entrance of the cave is made of big stones. The wall is uneven. The inside of the cave is dark and winding like a dragon. No one knows the bottom of the cave from ancient times to the present. It's really "Li long goes out of the cave, and the cave is unfathomable.".

Main attractions

The temple complex above fengyueguan is called "Fukou ancestral temple", which is located on a stone coupon tens of meters long from east to West in shenmi mountain. There are three characters "fengyueguan" carved on the stone at the west entrance of the ticket. From the west gate to the temple yard, there is a black dragon temple with three rooms in depth and three rooms in width, which sits from south to north. On the east side of the temple, there is a Kunshan moon pavilion with two floors of glazed tiles. In the pavilion, there is a statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva. On the west wall of the front hall, there is a stone carving of the poem "climbing the Kunshan moon Pavilion and watching the spring" written by Zhang Yingdeng, a scholar of the Ming Dynasty. According to historical records, both the pavilion and the temple were built in the Tang Dynasty. Due to the reconstruction of the past dynasties, they have lost their original appearance, but their buildings are solemn and compact, with a strong national style.

Fengyue pass is built on the mountain. According to the inscriptions, it was built in the Tang Dynasty, with a main hall and supporting rooms inside the mountain gate. The main hall was originally for the Dragon God. The deep pool under the cave is dark green in color. The clear spring gushes from the crevice of the rock and the spring rises from the sand. It looks like a water Buddha in a cauldron, so it's named Fushui. It's also named Fuyang because it's located in the Yang of the south section of Gushan.
