Hubei Huanggang Yiai Lake National Wetland Park is located in the urban area of Huanggang City, Hubei Province, with a total area of 463.9 hectares, including 378.22 hectares of water area. The East Lake, West Lake and Lingjiao Lake in the urban area are the main parts. It is a typical lake wetland in the plain area along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The wetland park is divided into five functional areas: conservation area, rational utilization area, restoration and reconstruction area, publicity and education exhibition area and management service area.

In March 2014, Yiai lake was rated as one of the "ten most beautiful lakes in Hubei"; on August 16, 2016, it passed the acceptance of 2016 pilot National Wetland Park of the State Forestry Administration, and officially became the "National Wetland Park".

Location context

Hubei Huanggang Yiai Lake National Wetland Park is located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province. It starts from Xingang Avenue in the East, Dongpo Avenue in the west, Chibi Avenue in the north and Huangzhou Avenue in the south.

There are 29 species of class II key protected animals in the Wetland Park, 65 species of provincial key protected animals, and 174 species of terrestrial wild animals listed in the national list of beneficial or economic and scientific research value.

Main attractions

Yiai Qingfeng scenic spot

Yiai Qingfeng scenic spot started construction in January 2008 and officially opened to the public in October 2009, with a planning area of 200000 square meters. It is the opening work and main entrance of Yiai Lake Park. The scenic area consists of three main parts: urban gray space corridor, cultural landscape area and lakeside sightseeing belt. There are Su Dongpo memorial hall, Su Dongpo statue, cultural corridor, water curtain cinema, music fountain, children's playground, sunshine beach and other landscapes in the scenic area. Yiai Pavilion is the core building of the scenic area, built on the commanding height of the landscape axis.

Lingao Chunxiao scenic spot

Lingao Chunxiao scenic spot is close to Chibi Avenue, with a planned area of 82000 square meters and a shape of peninsula surrounded by water on three sides. "Lingao" means the highland near the water. The scenic spot is built on the highland near the water of the former army shooting range. In the scenic area, there are gray space outline Road, Dongpo square, antique buildings, parking lot, shuanggongdi, liuguangge and other landscape nodes, which are important places for mass gatherings and various large-scale performances in our city.

Dongpo Wenjia scenic spot

Dongpo Wenjia scenic spot is located in the north entrance parking lot of Huanhu road to the entrance of Xingang 1st road. The planning area of the scenic spot is 250000 square meters. There are cherry blossom garden, crape myrtle garden, Bauhinia Garden, tea garden, Begonia Garden, orchard, etc. in the scenic spot, the scenes of Su Dongpo's day in the past and the poetic mood of "eight poems of Dongpo" are reappeared. At the same time, landscape nodes such as hydrophilic platform, pavilions and corridors are arranged.

Yisuoyunyu scenic spot

Yisuoyunyu scenic spot is located in the area from Xingang 1st road to Wenfeng Road, with a total planning area of 120000 square meters. The scenic spot is a peninsula in a lake, often misty and rainy, so it is named after the famous sentence in Su Dongpo's dingfengbo that "a raindrop can make one's life". There are Yunxiang Pavilion, Kuaiya Pavilion, hanshiyu stele forest, Jingsu garden and other scenic spots in the scenic area.

Qindao moon watching scenic spot

Qindao Wangyue scenic spot is a poetic theme landscape of Yiai Lake Park, with a planning area of 6800 square meters. This island is located in the lake, like a violin, so it is called Qindao.

Hongmei Aoxue scenic spot

Hongmei Aoxue scenic spot is close to Wenfeng Road, with a planning area of 78000 square meters. Hongmei is widely planted here. Su Dongpo loved plum blossom and wrote three songs of red plum in Huangzhou.

Youlan Fangjing scenic spot

Youlan Fangjing scenic spot is close to Huxin Road, with a planning area of 90000 square meters. The scenic area is decorated with yilanju, liuxiangting, shuiyuexuan, jijitang and other landscapes. Orchids are widely planted on the island, fragrant and winding.

Jiangliuyao village scenic spot

Jiangliuyao village is a residential area of East Lake fishing ground, with a planning area of 220000 square meters. There are water street, corridor bridge, viewing platform and antique village, and willows are planted around the village.

Shuiyun Hexiang scenic spot

Shuiyun Hexiang scenic spot is located at the entrance of Huxin road and Huanhu road of Yiai Lake Park, with a total planning area of 164000 square meters. There are three Su pavilions, lotus Pavilion, Lotus Bridge and Shuiyun square. Lotus is widely planted by the lake.

Dazhou bamboo shadow scenic spot

Dazhou bamboo shadow scenic area has a planning area of 220000 square meters. It is planned to build Wanzhu garden, Zizhu garden, luojinxuan, bamboo forest path and other landscapes. The construction of the scenic spot started in February 2012.

Frost leaf pine scenic spot

Frost leaf pine scenic area planning area of 584000 square meters, here is the original ecological nature reserve, there are ecological wetlands, bird watching platform and dense forest, especially pine. Su Dongpo wrote a poem: "I know I am drunk and love the pine wind, and I will choose the frost forest to build a cottage.".

Pinghu Guiyan scenic spot

Pinghu Guiyan scenic spot is close to Huangzhou Avenue, with a planning area of 300000 square meters.

Development and construction

On March 25, 2011, the State Forestry Administration issued the notice of the State Forestry Administration on Approving the pilot work of National Wetland Park in 45 wetlands in Hebei Province, such as Beidaihe (linshfa [2011] No. 61), and approved the construction of Hubei Huanggang Yiai Lake National Wetland Park (pilot).

On August 16, 2016, the State Forestry Administration issued the notice of the State Forestry Administration on the acceptance of the pilot National Wetland Park in 2016 (linshfa [2016] No. 107). Hubei Huanggang yiaihu National Wetland Park (pilot) passed the pilot acceptance of the State Forestry Administration and officially became a national wetland park.
