Shaanxi Huangling National Forest Park

Huangling National Forest Park, also known as Xuanyuan health Valley, is a National Forest Park, a national AAAA scenic spot, one of the first forest health bases in China, a photography creation base of China Photographers Association, and China's first scenic spot with the theme of Huangdi culture. It is composed of three scenic spots: zi'e temple, Feilong ridge, and Xuanyuan valley. The park has dense forests, peculiar landforms, humid climate, rich water resources, elegant and charming forest ecological environment, more than 890 species of animals and plants, and the forest coverage rate is 98%.

The park is located in Qiaoshan forest area, 40 kilometers west of Huangling County. It is the node of the golden tourist route of Shaanxi north route. It is known as a green pearl on the Loess Plateau, with a total area of 4358.5 hectares, the highest altitude of 1547 meters and an annual average temperature of 9.4 ℃. At the same time, the park is also located in the hinterland of Ziwuling, which is an important scenic spot on the Ziwuling tourism line and the combination of Huangdi cultural tourism circle and Ziwuling ecological tourism line. There are 3000 meters suspended plank road, feilongling viewing platform, ten mile pine corridor, treetop stroll and other famous scenic spots in the scenic area. There are deep cultural heritage such as Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of China, and the royal temple of the Northern Wei Dynasty. It is a perfect combination of natural landscape and cultural landscape.

The forest vegetation type is temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest belt, with a coverage rate of 64%. In December 2015, Shaanxi Huangling National Forest Park was selected as the national AAAA scenic spot.

In February 2020, in order to thank the national medical staff for their dedication, the scenic spot will be open free of charge to all medical staff, PLA soldiers and volunteers from all walks of life who participate in the front-line rescue work of "anti epidemic" in Wuhan from the date of the spread of the epidemic to December 31, 2020.

Shaanxi Huangling National Forest Park is located in the southwest of Huangling County, Qiaoshan forest area, 40 km away from the county. Huangling National Forest Park, a part of Ordos platform, is a gully region of Loess Plateau. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with a slight inclination. Huangling National Forest Park in Shaanxi Province has 2.64 million mu of forest land, with a coverage rate of 64%, a timber stock of 6.98 million cubic meters, and an annual supply of 30000 cubic meters of all kinds of commercial timber, mainly including Pinus tabulaeformis, Populus davidiana, Betula Platycladus, Quercus liaotungensis and other tree species. It is one of the five major forest areas in Shaanxi Province. There are more than 400 kinds of wild Chinese medicinal materials in forest land, among which the more precious ones are leopard bone, Cornus officinalis, yellow flower, cypress seed, Sophora japonica, Scutellaria baicalensis, licorice, etc.

Huangling National Forest Park is rich in mineral resources, including coal, germanium, gallium, uranium, crystal stone, limestone, sandstone, mudstone, red sand and other underground mineral deposits. The proven coal resources cover an area of 1000 square kilometers, with geological reserves of 2.73 billion tons.

Xuanyuan health Valley Scenic Spot

Xuanyuan health Valley is the place where the Yellow Emperor was born and Qibo talked about health. The main scenic spots are Jianglong lake, Shili pine corridor, wetland meadow, Butterfly Valley, wanjuan book (also known as huangdishi), etc. The ecological cultural experience is dominated by herb garden and butterfly Science Museum.

Feilongling scenic spot

Feilongling scenic spot is 6 kilometers long. It is like the middle of a dumbbell. It connects Xuanyuan health Valley and zi'e Temple scenic spot closely, forming a huge landscape group. The planned construction includes: the huge statue of the Yellow Emperor, the construction of the three midnight and noon towers, and various outdoor sports.

Zi'e Temple scenic spot

Zi'e temple is the most unique one among many temples in ancient Ziwuling, which is worshiped by the royal family. The "Three Religions" are in the same hall, and the "three nourishments" have the same origin. Shanmen auxiliary road, Zhuque lake water system, temple main building complex, theater, Guanyin statue, Abbot's courtyard, plank road, Xuankong Temple.

Infrastructure

According to the overall layout of tourism development in Yan'an City and the feasibility study report on the construction of Huangling National Forest Park in Shaanxi Province, the planning period and development goals are determined in coordination with the pace of national economic development.

The planning period of the park is 9 years, and the total investment of the project is about 1.291 billion yuan. From 2012 to 2020, the project investment is arranged in two stages.

Recent four years (2012-2015): infrastructure and key project construction stage, so that the tourist area has the initial service reception capacity; improve the various supporting facilities of the scenic area.

Long term 5 years (2016-2020): the improvement stage of follow-up equipment and supporting services. It is mainly based on the early development and construction to form a complete form of ecological health, leisure, vacation and entertainment tourism area, so as to further enhance the reception capacity of the scenic area.

History and Humanities

Huangling was recorded as early as Xia and Shang Dynasties. In the 16th century B.C., the first battle in the history of Chinese war, that is, the "mingtiao battle" site of Tang Feixia, is located in the present Huangling town. Pingjie village, Huangling Town, is the Fuyi of Wei in the spring and Autumn period, known as Pingqiu. It was named after the twelve princes who participated in the military meeting here in 529 BC. Huangling drum, also known as "dragon drum", is a folk art form with the characteristics of drum music and encouragement. It is a large-scale strike music and dance commonly used in Huangling sacrificial activities and Yangko community fire.

According to the records of Shiji, the book of five emperors, Shanhaijing, Huangdi Neijing and Lushi shuge, it is said that Chiyou had a bronze head and iron arm, which could call the wind and call the rain, spit out fireworks, and spray fog during the war, making the Yellow Emperor's army unable to fight.
