Gulong mountain gorge group scenic area is located in Xinling village, Hurun Town, Southeast of Jingxi County, adjacent to Tongling Gorge Scenic Area. It belongs to the experimental area of Gulong mountain source forest reserve at the autonomous region level. Nanning Daxin Jingxi Funing highway (provincial highway 20315) passes through the middle of the scenic area, 30km away from Jingxi County, 238km away from Nanning, with convenient external transportation.

geographical environment

The region is located in the Paleozoic limestone strata, most of which belong to karst peak cluster (forest) mountain area. The southeast part is deep valley and hilly landform, with complex terrain, crisscross earth and stone mountains, from hilly to Zhongshan. The highest peak is Gulong mountain, with an altitude of 1034.8 meters. The lowest altitude is 264.5 meters, mostly between 500-800 meters, which belongs to Zhongshan landform. The whole terrain is located at the turning point between Hurun Valley and Jingxi platform, forming Triassic ridge and so on. In the northwest, there is an elevation difference of more than 300 meters in the southeast. Because there are five deep canyons and hidden rivers nearby, it is called "Canyon group". The scenic area is rich in water resources. The main rivers are Luoshui River, Gulao River and Liuzhu river. There are 351.5 square hectares of forest and 431.6 square hectares of shrubbery, with a forest coverage rate of 65.76%. There are about 800 species of animals and plants, many of which are rare animals and plants under state protection.

The scenic spot has a northern tropical mountain climate, with a mild climate and an annual average temperature of 21 ℃; the average temperature in January is 13.1 ℃, and the extreme low temperature in successive years is minus 0.2 ℃; the average temperature in July is 27 ℃, and the extreme high temperature is 38 ℃. The annual precipitation is 1631 mm, and the rainy season is from April to September, accounting for more than 85% of the annual precipitation.

It mainly includes Gulao gorge, Xinling gorge, Xinqiao gorge, sandialing waterfall, Xinqiao waterfall, Gunan waterfall, Shuiliandong, underground river rafting and other scenic spots.
