Built in 1859 A.D. and 1859 A.D. in the ninth year of Xianfeng, Zhen'an temple is the symbol of the first dike in China and the people's victory over floods. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Zhou Enlai, Li Peng, Jiang Zemin, Zhu Rongji, Li Ruihuan, Wen Jiabao and other leaders of the party and the state have visited here to guide the fight against floods. After the catastrophic flood in 1998, the state spent a lot of money to strengthen the Jingjiang levee. In addition, the Three Gorges project was completed and the sluice was closed to store water. The Jingjiang Flood control alarm was basically lifted. Now, the site of Tieniu in Zhenan temple has been built into a riverside park for people's sightseeing and leisure.
