Moon Bay Park

Yueliangwan Park covers an area of 110 hectares of crescent shaped beach. It is the largest park in Xiangyang City. It is located in the western suburb of Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, on the Bank of Hanjiang River. It is nearly 3000 meters long from east to west.

Xiangyang Yueliangwan Wetland Park, located on the North Bank of the Han River in Xiangyang, is a natural wetland formed by the impact of the Han River. It is composed of sandbanks, inner rivers, marsh ponds and wetlands, covering an area of about 2000 mu.

About the park

Yueliangwan park is located in the western suburb of Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, on the Bank of Hanjiang River. It is built on a crescent shaped beach, which is nearly 3000 meters long from east to west and covers an area of 110 hectares. It is the largest park in our city. The park has beautiful scenery and unique landscape. It not only has modern garden style, but also has idyllic scenery and natural wild leisure

Yueliangwan park is designed and planned by the Institute of landscape architecture of the Ministry of construction of the people's Republic of China. It began to be built in 1991. The park is divided into 11 functional areas with different styles, including children's recreation, sports activities, wild fun, horse racing and water activities.

Racecourse

At present, children's recreation area, water activity area, Riverside sightseeing area, quiet leisure area, horse racing field and fishing area have been opened to the outside world.

With the theme of simple, bright, transparent and fluent modern garden, the park has built a high-grade lawn base with 12 varieties and more than 200 mu of evergreen all the year round (becoming a professional lawn production and marketing center in Northwest Hubei) and a seedling base with nearly 100 varieties and 150 mu (becoming one of the seedling supply centers in Xiangfan). The park highlights the characteristics of plant landscaping. Relying on the embankment of Hanjiang River, a 2000 meter "green corridor" is built. A 4000 meter green belt around the lake is built along the artificial lake in the park. Cherry garden, peach garden, plum garden and bamboo garden are under preparation and construction. At the same time, in order to cater to the modern people's taste of "returning to nature and returning to nature", a 30 hectare wild tourism area was built on the riverside. There are pheasants and rabbits in the area, which is a good place for wild tourism. It has a "local interest garden" covering an area of 20 mu.

Since its opening, Yueliangwan park has been favored by Chinese and foreign tourists. It receives 200000-300000 tourists annually. It has become an excellent resort for people to go outing in spring, summer, fruit watching in autumn and snow enjoying in winter.
