General Ye Ting Memorial Park is located in Zhoutian village, Qiuchang street, Huiyang District, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province,

The first phase of the memorial park is planned to cover an area of 63190 square meters, and the second phase is planned to cover an area of 88000 square meters, with a total land area of 151190 square meters. The yeting memorial hall, which covers an area of 2835 square meters, is the core building, with a total planning area of 20 square kilometers. It was officially opened to the public in September 2011.

The general Ye Ting Memorial Park is the only Memorial Park in China that fully displays the life and deeds of general Ye Ting. In 2005, general Ye Ting Memorial Park was shortlisted as one of the first 100 "National Red Tourism classic scenic spots" determined by the central government.

In 2013, general Ye Ting Memorial Park was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.

Historical evolution

In 1961, yeting memorial hall was originally planned to be built in BaiHuaZhou, Huizhou West Lake. However, difficulties were encountered in the preparation process, and it was not built in the end.

On September 30, 1986, with the consent of the general office of the CPC Central Committee and the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, Ye Ting Memorial Hall (old hall) was built in Danshui Town, Huiyang. It opened on September 10, 1991. The seven exhibition halls set up by it display more than 500 precious cultural relics, photos, charts, etc.

In 2006, the construction of general Ye Ting Memorial Park started, with a cost of 50 million yuan. Integration of the original yeting Memorial and yeting's former residence resources.

In May 2007, in order to integrate resources and realize the integration of Museum and residence, Ye Ting memorial hall was relocated to Zhoutian village, Ye Ting's former residence, after three changes of location. Together with his former residence, Ye Ting Memorial Hall will form a red tourism and patriotism education route.

In August 2008, according to the general office of the CPC Central Committee's "letter on Approving the relocation of Ye Ting Memorial", the construction of the New Ye Ting memorial hall was started. The new hall is located next to Ye Ting's former residence in Zhoutian village, Qiuchang street, with a construction area of 2758 square meters and a display area of 2500 square meters.

On September 10, 2011 (the 115th anniversary of Ye Ting's birth), the general Ye Ting Memorial Park was officially opened to the public.

Architectural pattern

The main building of general Ye Ting memorial park looks like a gun: the new hall of Ye Ting memorial is a gun barrel, and the former residence and Huishui building are gun handles.

According to the plan of "one axis, two rivers, six scenic spots and 24 scenic spots", yeting general Memorial Park is composed of yeting's former residence, Tengyun school, martial arts training room, Yuying building and other historical buildings, as well as the new yeting memorial hall, yeting Bronze Statue Square, archway gate, pond and orchard.

Ye Ting's former residence

Yeting's former residence is adjacent to yeting general Memorial Hall. Yeting's former residence is a Hakka enclosed house built by yepeilin, yeting's grandfather, in 1884. It was opened to the public after maintenance on July 1, 1980. In May 2003, a square of 2000 square meters was built in front of yeting's former residence. Ye Ting's former residence is the party history education base of Huizhou City. It was listed as the key cultural relics protection unit of Huiyang County in 1978, the third batch of key cultural relics protection units of Guangdong Province in June 1989, and the Sixth Batch of "national key cultural relics protection units" by the State Council and the State Administration of cultural relics in June 2006.

Tengyun school

Tengyun school is located on the left side of Ye Ting's former residence. It is a three wall tile roof structure. The internal wall is a mud brick wall. It is a Hakka enclosed house with classrooms, study rooms, teachers' houses, kitchens and patios. The building area is about 180 square meters. Tengyun school is a private school founded by the Ye family in huishuilou, Zhoutian. It is run by the levy Valley for its children to study free of charge. From 1903 to 1911, Ye Ting studied here. It was here that Ye Ting received the education of nationalism and democratic thought, understood some revolutionary deeds of Sun Yat Sen, and sowed the ideal seeds of saving the country and the people in his heart.

In 1925, Ye Ting sent his good friend Chen Zhuoying (underground Party member) to teach in Tengyun school and directly participated in guiding the peasant movement. Afterwards, the underground party sent party members to teach in Tengyun school. During the great revolution, there were 8 people such as Huang Bingyao and ye Wenhua, 10 people such as ye Keguang and ye Chang during the Anti Japanese War, and 23 people such as ye Jinlai and ye Lvping during the war of liberation Under the education, cultivation and mobilization of Party members and teachers, 130 students including Ye Fuping and Liao Siguang participated in the revolution, of which 32 died. In the history of revolutionary struggle, Tengyun school made great contributions to the victory of Chinese revolution.

Yu Ying Building

Behind yeting's former residence, there is an independent Hakka house with white walls and grey tiles, and its forehead is titled "Yuying building". Yuying building is an ordinary Hakka residence, the former residence of Ye Fuping, the younger brother of general Ye Ting, and the former site of Huibao people's Anti Japanese guerrilla Corps. On December 2, 1938, the Huibao people's Anti Japanese guerrilla Corps was established in Yuying building, Zhoutian village, Qiuchang, Huiyang. He was once the commander of the Corps, Zhou Boming was the political commissar, and ZHENG Jin was the deputy commander and chief of staff. The Anti Japanese guerrilla war was launched in the coastal areas of Huiyang and Bao'an. Yuying building is the representative building of Anti Japanese war in Huiyang area, which provides valuable material for the study of Anti Japanese War history in Huiyang area.

Huishui building

Huishui building was built in 1825 by Ye Chengfa, the fifth ancestor of Ye family in Zhoutian. It is the ancestral house of general Ye Ting. The architectural style is Hakka enclosed house with three halls and two horizons. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province.

Ye Ting Memorial new hall

Ye Ting memorial hall is the only Memorial Hall in China that fully displays the life and deeds of general Ye Ting. Its name is "Comrade Ye Ting Memorial Hall" inscribed by Marshal Ye Jianying. It was originally built in Luwu mountainside, yeting Middle Road, Danshui street, Huiyang District, Guangdong Province. In order to integrate the party history resources and facilitate the masses to visit and study, Huiyang District moved the original museum to the back of yeting's former residence with the consent of the Secretary Bureau of the general office of the CPC Central Committee, creating a yeting Memorial Park. Construction started in August 2008. The new site is next to yeting's former residence in Zhoutian village, Qiuchang street, with a construction area of 2758 square meters and a display area of 2500 square meters.
