Jinlong lake is an artificial lake located in the south of the administrative office building in the core business district of Xuzhou Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province. It covers an area of more than 380 Mu and a landscape area of 280000 square meters.

Jinlong lake is an artificial lake located in the south of the administrative office building in the core business district of Xuzhou Economic Development Zone. The original intention of the design is the flood control and security project of Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway and Beijing Fuzhou Expressway, mainly including the demolition and reconstruction of the East air gate of Sanba River, the demolition and reconstruction of the Shangshan gate of laofangting River, the water exchange culvert of the downstream of laofangting River, the dispatching gate of Jinlong lake and related supporting facilities. The engineering design standard is once in 30 years for water level and once in 50 years for check water level. The project was started in February 2008 and completed in May 2009. The construction of Jinlong lake has laid a foundation for the landscape architecture of two rivers (Sanba River and laofangting River) and one lake with multiple ecological corridors, which will greatly improve the flood control, drainage and water exchange capacity of Tieshang district and achieve the function of regulating and controlling water environment

The total investment of Jinlong lake landscape and supporting projects is 140 million yuan. The lake area is more than 380 mu, the landscape area is 280000 square meters, the excavation volume is more than 1 million square meters, and the annual water depth is 4.5-7.5 meters. There are four scenic spots in spring, summer, autumn and winter, twelve gardens, one island, one dike and three squares. Along the Lake Avenue, a 3.7 km lakeside ecological landscape belt can be formed.

The landscape design of Jinlong Lake focuses on the sculpture and carving of the spatial relationship generated by the integration of natural micro terrain and artificial terrain, making it a modern landscape design based on the spatial relationship of traditional gardens, showing its uniqueness and natural beauty at the same time. In the water system, terrain, vegetation, landscape architecture and the main site form of the style and main landscape composition, do a good unity. In November 2013, Jinlong Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Spot was rated as the 13th batch of National Water Conservancy Scenic Spots by the Ministry of water resources.
