The lava layer of Pulu volcano is distributed on the high terrace on both sides of the middle reaches of the Keriya River. The lava layer of Pulu volcano is divided into two layers, the lower layer is 7m thick, which is composed of Pulu volcanic agglomerate and dense massive lava, covering on the gravel, and the contact surface has gravel layer baking traces; the two layers are intercalated with 12.3m thick gravel layer, and the upper layer is 20m thick, which is composed of agglomerate, dense massive rock and stomatal rock. The upper and lower lavas were formed in the early Pleistocene of the Quaternary, belonging to basalt (trachyandesite) erupted twice in different periods. The basalt formed terraces and cliffs, which looked like many strange monsters and looked majestic in the distance. Volcanic rocks cover the sand gravel layer of the sixth terrace of the river, which is covered with aeolian sandy loess layer. The volcanic lava is divided into two stages, which belong to the early Pleistocene volcanic lava flow. The two volcanic activities are in the southern Kunlun Mountains, and the scale is huge. The huge volcanic magma flows out of the mountain like a torrent, covering the gravel layer of the piedmont alluvial proluvial inclined plain. It is of great significance to study the formation and environmental evolution of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and Kunlun Mountains.
