Wanglong Lake Forest Park

Wanglong lake, formerly known as the Chapan reservoir, is named because the lake and the surrounding mountains are shaped like dragons. It is located in zhangpengzhai, Chapan Township, 7 kilometers south of Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, with a water area of about 1 square kilometers.

The origin of the name

Naoli River runs around the mountains. In the middle of the way, there are Baomi River, Dazhu River, Zhuzhao River and other water systems converging into one. It goes eastward and bends over the oncoming mountain. On the vast marshland between Longtou mountain and xiaoqingshan, it forms its own water pool and then flows to the plain. At the exit of the water park, we can build a dam on the hill, and let the "dragon head" in the East and "Xiaoqing" in the West join hands to block the water into a lake. After impoundment, the water of the lake is as wide and long as a dragon. When we climb up and look at the bright water, the main Naoli River is like a high dragon tail, and the other rivers from both sides are like dragon claws. The mountain peaks of the dragon head beside the dam are towering, just like the dragon head leaping out of the water to fly to the blue sky. Therefore, people named it "Longhu" according to its shape, which covers an area of 47 square kilometers.

Throughout the lake, such as the Dragon Pentium, dragon head north, dragon body lying, East and West and South three tail, meandering. Looking straight up, the waves are bright, the clear water is clear, and the reflection of Cangshan Mountain is full of the charm of Xia Tian Shen. Looking around, you can see that the mountain is lush and green, and the forest is full of color. In spring, there is a vast and heroic song. This static and dynamic scenery, water and sky, constitutes a "thousand miles tea lake water color, smoke with blue moon" intoxicating picture.

Vegetation biology

There are many kinds of trees in the lake area, such as Korean pine, Scotch pine, larch, spruce, fir, yellow pineapple, Tilia, oak, birch and so on. In some places, the ancient trees are towering, while in some hillsides, the trees are scattered and distinct, such as vivid color oil paintings. There are various specialties in the mountain: black fungus, Hericium erinaceus, Hazel mushroom, yuan mushroom and so on; wild medicinal materials include Schisandra chinensis, dragon snake grass, acanthopanax senticosus, manshanhong, Platycodon grandiflorum, ginseng, Phellodendron amurense, white fresh skin and so on; wild vegetables include Pteridium aquilinum, cucumber fragrance, thorn bud and so on, as well as pine seed, hickory, hazel, mountain grape, kiwi fruit, blackcurrant and other mountain products. In the mountains, forests and rivers around Longhu Lake, there are a large number of wild animals, such as sika deer, red deer, roe deer, fox, leopard, lynx, wild boar, badger, muskrat, squirrel, weasel, grass rabbit, etc.; birds include wild geese, mandarin duck, magpie, owl, wild duck, cuckoo, etc.; fish include salmon, carp, crucian carp, huaitou fish, silver carp, Liugen fish, etc. Such rich natural resources have attracted people's keen interest in sightseeing and investment. After damming, this place has been planned as "Longhu Forest Park".

The lake is surrounded by mountains on Wednesday. From Longwang mountain to Duantou temple and then to Jianshanzi, Yanmian mountain is like a giant dragon, standing on one side; from zhangpengzhai in Chaqi mountain to sitting shigu, it's like a long dragon lying on the ridge, and the sky roaring; around the lake, there are countless hills, forming more than 40 Peninsula, which are gorgeous and strange, like a small dragon, like a lion, like a drum, like a bamboo shoot. Accompanied by mountains and rocks are the lush forests, flowers, birds and animals, dark green cypress, deep indigo pine forest, green ginkgo, green mountains. The forest is ten miles around, with wild animals and wild interests.

The natural scenery is beautiful and unique, and the cultural landscape has a long history. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, Zhang Fei, a general of Shu Kingdom, was on the march to fight. When he passed Wanglong lake and climbed over Leigong rock, because the rock was steep and cut like a chop, Zhang Fei only grasped the stone to climb the mountain. Where he reached, his fingers were deeply sunk, and his finger marks are still visible, so he named it "handlebar stone". When Zhang Fei climbed up the mountain, he was so tired that he was sweating that he sat down on a huge stone. When he got up, there was a big resistance left on the stone. The seal could hold about 20 people, so people called it "sitting stone stock". Zhang Fei left the "sitting stone unit" and came to the top of the mountain. He put on the flag of Shuai character and commanded thousands of troops to fight bravely, which made the enemy run away in confusion. When Zhang Fei took the shuaizi flag, he left a stone cave more than two meters deep on the top of the mountain, and also left the interesting talk of "inserting the flag mountain". Zhangpengzhai is the head of ZhouFeng lake. Its name is a vivid story. Once upon a time, Zhang Xianzhong, the "eight kings", wanted to wipe out the Wanglong Laker when he suppressed Sichuan. A local warrior named Zhang Peng, Zhongyi Yingwu, immediately led the people to flee to the mountain, built a stronghold with stones, and guarded the stronghold, so that the people survived. Later generations named this mountain "Zhang pengzhai" in memory of Zhang Peng's loyalty and bravery.
