Yongzhen temple is located beside the shallow Binhai Road of Yongzhen village 2, Zhuangwei Township, Ilan County. It has been renovated and expanded several times in the past 200 years. It is really a precious historic site in Ilan County. It was built in 1744 by the ancestors Chen Zhenmin and Chen Fulao, and rebuilt in 1979. "Yongzhen" originated from the meaning of "Yongbao township" by the king of Kaixi and Zhangzhou. It has a history of more than 200 years and is a famous cultural relic in Yilan County. Every year on February 15 of the lunar calendar, the holy king of Kaizhang has a Christmas for thousands of years. It is the most ceremonious festival of offering sacrifices and repaying gods in Yongzhen temple, and a grand celebration will be held.

Yongzhen temple, with a long history, is located beside the Binhai Highway of the 2nd line of Yongzhen village, Zhuangwei Township, Yilan County. It has been renovated and expanded several times in the past 200 years, and is really a precious historic site in Yilan County. In 1744, Chen Zhenmin and Chen Fulao, the ancestors of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, welcomed Zhangzhou to open the ancestral temple of Zhang Shengwang, and made a gold body as the patron saint. They landed on the north coast and settled down on the grass. A few years later, the temple was named "Yongzhen Temple" in order to protect the town. "Yongzhen" originated from the meaning of "Yongbao township" of the sage king of Zhangzhou. In 1979, due to the construction of the northern coastal road by the government, many believers considered that the temple would become a tourist attraction and expected to have a grand temple. They decided to demolish and rebuild all the existing temples. In 1980, on the 10th day of October of the lunar calendar, the jinzuo ceremony for entering the temple and the ceremony for praying for an and Jianjiao were held. Every year, at noon on February 15 of the lunar calendar, the statue of Kaizhang holy king, who was separated from Yongzhen temple or incense, would rush back to the ancestral temple to get together. The crowd came from all directions, making the coastal village, which had always been quiet, suddenly lively. On that day, a "Black Pyramid" will be erected on the right side of Miaocheng. It will pile up the red charcoal into a famous "charcoal mountain" in the fire crossing ceremony, which is about one or five meters high, one or two meters wide and two meters long. Believers firmly believe that as long as they are devout, they can pass the severe test and keep peace forever.

The legend of worshiping gods

During the reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty, Chen Yuanguang went to Fujian with his father Chen Zheng to pacify the masses of foreigners. He was the first governor of Zhangzhou in 687. In 711, when Chaozhou was in chaos, he was stabbed to death by a thief. Chen Yuanguang worked in Fujian and Guangdong. Later, the imperial court issued an imperial edict to set up a temple. He enjoyed the fragrance of the world forever and was honored as the "king of Kaizhang". General Ma Ren and General Li boyao, together with two other generals Chen Yi and general Ni shengfen, were the four generals of Kaizhang Shengwang, helping him to expand his territory.

Sacrificial activities

The main hall of Yongzhen temple is dedicated to Kaizhang holy king, the left hall is dedicated to five grain emperors, Yellow Emperor and Sanguan emperor, and the right hall is dedicated to Fu Zhengshen. The former Eucalyptus was dedicated to the Jade Emperor, Wenchang emperor and Kaizhang prince.
