Historical legend

During Nanzhao period, because the island was quiet and beautiful, the climate was pleasant, the flowers and trees were evergreen all the year round, and the birds were singing all the time, the king of Nanzhao built a summer palace here and named it "Sari water city". The red walls and yellow tiles of Sari water city are magnificent. At the same time, there are also Wanghai tower, Diaoyutai, royal garden, etc. There are also flower boats with carved dragons and painted phoenixes on the beach for people to go boating. Every summer, Nanzhao's relatives and relatives go to the island one after another for summer.

In the Ming Dynasty, Li Yuanyang wrote a poem praising the beautiful scenery of Jinsuo Island, saying: "the natural stone is like a golden shuttle, and he wants to weave silver Cang waves on the water; a coral tree hides on the bottom of the sea, and meets moon in the clear night." Chen zhisui's poem "Jinsuo island" says: "the cool world is full of smoke and waves, and there are many relics of Nanzhao royal family. After all, the lakes and mountains belong to the common people, and today's visitors are full of you. " Also worth visiting is the Benzhu temple in Bai fishing village. Among them, the three princes of the surname Zhang were worshipped. There is a couplet in front of the temple, which says: "the beautiful rivers and mountains, the golden Suo Island, occupy one; the splendid land of the motherland, the relic water city, live alone", and the horizontal inscription is "Gong long de Zhao". There are stages, courtyards, halls, flowers and trees planted in the courtyard, as well as tables and chairs for visitors to have a rest.
