Garlic sugar factory

Garlic sugar factory is located at No.1, Changchang village, liujiao Township, Jiayi county. Formerly known as the garlic sugar factory, it was originally owned by Meiji Sugar Co., Ltd. It was built in 1911 with a daily cane crushing capacity of 1000 metric tons.

Garlic sugar factory was changed into Xinying General Factory in 1972. In 1981, a new sulphurous acid process was adopted to produce special sand in Suantou sugar factory, and the second sand was resumed in 1988. In April 1984, the business of Haipu land reclamation office in Jiayi was merged into garlic sugar factory and became the second class of the farm. The sugar factory of Suantou sugar factory was closed on July 1, 2002. Zhancheng Cultural Park of Suantou sugar factory, operated and managed by Jiayi District Office of Taiwan Sugar Company, opened on August 3, 2002.
