Manghai reservoir

Manghaihai reservoir is located in Mingming Township, Yongde County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province. 45 kilometers away from the county seat, in the upper reaches of Yongkang River, Hongshi River, belongs to Nujiang River system. The total storage capacity is 31.1 million cubic meters. The height of the dam is 69.41m, the length of the dam crest is 187.8m, the length of the spillway is 309m, and the total length of the East and west main canals is 80.28km. The problem of irrigation of 50500 mu farmland and drinking water for 18500 people has been solved, and the tunnel length is 535.46m.

The elevation of manghaihai reservoir is between 2000 meters and 2060 meters. The reservoir is high and controls the cultivation area of most areas in the southwest of Yongde County. It is a systematic project mainly focusing on agricultural irrigation and giving full play to the comprehensive benefits of drinking water and power generation in towns and villages. It is an infrastructure project for Yongde to get rid of poverty and become rich, to provide food and clothing for nearly 80000 people in mountainous areas, and to build an electrified county. It is the largest water conservancy project built in Lincang area at present.
