Gaolishan

Gaolishan, also known as Lishan, is located in the east of Chuanshan village, Shima Town, Dantu District, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. With an altitude of 425.7 meters, it is the peak in the east of Ningzhen mountain range, ranking the third in Zhenjiang. The mountain is mainly composed of shale, sandstone, limestone and so on, in which the gaolishan formation of Paleozoic lower limestone series is named after it. The ridge is rounded and the top is flanked to form a cliff. On the south slope, there are many shrubs with artificially planted pines and fir; on the north slope, there is a sea of bamboos with meadows on the upper part of the mountain; and at the foot of the mountain, there is lunshan reservoir. Gaoli mountain is about 4.5 kilometers long. It starts from dongjiazhuang, Weigang town in the northeast and ends at xiaomaoshan beside lunshan reservoir in the southwest. Most of it is in Jurong.
