Heixiazi Island Wetland Park has a complete wetland ecosystem with rich species of animals and plants and high representativeness and diversity. The original ecological vegetation of the park is well preserved. The main vegetation is Quercus mongolica, accompanied by birch, Shanyang, oak, Tilia amurensis, Ulmus pumila, Fraxinus mandshurica, etc. There are submerged plants, floating plants and emergent plants in the water area. The diversity of complex biological system makes the animals of Heixiazi Island National Wetland Park rich. There are 193 species of vertebrates belonging to 6 classes, 36 orders, 77 families, including 2 species of roundmouth, 77 species of fish, 6 species of amphibians, 6 species of reptiles and 234 species of birds. There are 5 species of national first-class protected animals, including Oriental White Stork, Red Crowned Crane, white tailed sea sculpture and jade belt sea sculpture, and 27 species of national second-class protected animals, including swan, mandarin duck, black grouse, black bear, lynx, red deer, moose, otter and snow rabbit.

Construction characteristics

In Heixiazi Island Wetland Park, the 2256 meter floating wooden plank road is constructed with pontoon and wooden structure. The six corner Pavilion dotted with it and the platform that can climb up to have a panoramic view of the wetland make tourists feel the comfortable feeling of being close to water, green and nature all the time. According to the person in charge of the development and Reform Commission of Heilongjiang Province, the design of the floating bridge's zigzag corridor, which is more than 2000 meters long, makes the floating bridge water up and down; in terms of design, the floating bridge does not pass through every plant of the wetland, and there is no barrier between the water systems of the wetland.

Introduction to the island

Heixiazi Island is located at the intersection of Heilongjiang River and Wusuli River on the border between China and Russia, also known as Fuyuan Delta, covering an area of more than 300 square kilometers. According to the supplementary agreement on the eastern section of the Sino Russian border, Heixiazi Island is divided into two parts, and half of the island close to China on the west side is owned by China. The ecological resources of Heixiazi Island are well preserved with luxuriant vegetation. There are a large number of rare wild animals on the island. There are many kinds of fish living in Heilongjiang and its tributaries, rivers and lakes. This part of the island is in an undeveloped natural state. On October 14, 2008, China and Russia held the unveiling ceremony of the boundary monument between China and Russia in Heixiazi Island.
