In order to commemorate the glorious sacrifice of the revolutionary martyrs in the battle of Lazikou and the brilliant victory of the battle, Gansu Provincial People's government listed it as a key cultural relics protection unit at the provincial level. The "monument to the battle of Lazikou" and the "Memorial Hall of the battle of Lazikou" have been built successively. It has become one of the key bases for education of patriotic revolutionary tradition, ideological and moral education of minors, education of party history and education of the concept of honor and disgrace. It is also one of the 12 "key red tourist areas" in China, which is the "snow mountain grassland red tourist area".

Lazikou, located in the northeast of Diebu County, is the gateway and an important traffic channel from Diebu to the Han nationality.

Lazikou is a transliteration of Tibetan, which means "dangerous mountain pass". As the name suggests, the mountains around Lazikou are towering, the gorge is chopping like a knife, the Lazikou River rushes out from the gorge, and the two cliffs are close to each other. It's really a dangerous place where "one man is in charge of the pass and ten thousand people are not allowed to open.".

In September 1935, the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army went northward to resist Japan. During the Long March, it passed through Lazikou and fought fiercely with the new 14th division of the Lu Dachang Department of the Kuomintang, which relied on natural danger to block the Red Army's northward movement. The soldiers of the Red Army tactfully and bravely defeated the enemy's tight blockade and broke through the natural danger at one stroke, which opened a channel for the Red Army to enter the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region smoothly and go north to resist Japan. As a result, the feat of this battle, together with the natural danger of Lazikou, was recorded in the history of Chinese revolution.

In order to commemorate the long march of the Red Army and remember the great historic battle of Lazikou, the State Council decided to list Lazikou as a key cultural relic protection unit and set up a "monument to the battle of Lazikou" for tourists and pedestrians. The monument was first built in 1980 and rebuilt in 1992 with the approval of the provincial government. General Yang Chengwu personally wrote the inscription "monument to the battle of Lazikou"

Located in Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, Lazikou is the only way from northern Sichuan to Min County, Gansu Province. Lazikou is a transliteration of Tibetan, which means "dangerous mountain pass". The pass is about 8 meters wide. On both sides are cliffs, which seem to have been split by a huge axe. In the middle is the deep and fast flowing Lazi river. There is a wooden bridge on the river, which has the tendency of "one man is in charge of the pass and ten thousand men are not allowed to open it".

On September 16, 1935, during the Long March, the first front army of the Red Army climbed the snow mountain and crossed the grassland and came to Lazikou at the junction of Gansu and Sichuan. Relying on the natural danger of Lazikou, the Kuomintang warlord Lu Dachang's troops attempted to block the Red Army's northward March. Under the personal command of Mao Zedong, after fierce fighting, he finally broke through the natural danger of Lazikou and opened the door for the Red Army to go north to resist Japan.
