Development history

On August 24, 2007, the museum successfully held the third China Datong Guangling international paper cut art festival. It has received more than 400 paper-cut artists and more than 50000 visitors from the United States, France, Germany, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, Hong Kong and other countries and regions, creating a sensation at home and abroad. More than 1600 Chinese and foreign paper-cut classic works of various genres and styles are on display in the museum. In addition, it has successively held the paper-cut painting and calligraphy exhibition of Datong veteran cadres, the first and second clean government painting and calligraphy exhibition of Datong, the 18th, 19th and 20th Guangling paper-cut painting and calligraphy exhibition, Guangling clean government culture construction paper-cut painting and calligraphy exhibition, Guangling family planning paper-cut Invitational Competition. The museum is open to the public free of charge throughout the year. Together with the entire design, production and packaging processes of Guangling paper-cut culture and art research center and Guangling paper-cut culture and Art Development Co., Ltd., the museum also serves as an experience area and tour route for tourists. At the end of 2013, it was approved as AAA tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration.
