Sheshan Island, Taihu Lake

Sheshan Island, also known as Yishan Island, is located in Taihu Lake in the north of Dongshan Town, Suzhou. It is an island surrounded by water. Located between the East Dongting mountain Peninsula and Xishan Island, it faces Taihu Lake in the northeast, East Dongting mountain Peninsula in the southeast, Xishan island in the West and Baimamiao in the south. The island is named Sheshan island because it has Sheshan on it. The island is a long strip from east to west, with a total area of 600 mu. There are 55 families and more than 160 villagers. It is divided into two natural villages, East and West. There was no electricity on the island for a long time, and the villagers lived in isolation. In the satellite photo, Sheshan Island, disconnected from the land of Dongshan, is like a big flat fish sleeping on Taihu Lake.
