Chengdu MOCA

Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum is a multi-functional non-profit art museum approved by the competent department of Chengdu, planned and initiated by the Management Committee of Chengdu high tech Industrial Development Zone, wholly built and invested by Chengdu high tech Investment Group Co., Ltd., and open to the whole society. It is an important part of building "Humanistic high tech". The building was designed by Liu Jiakun, a famous designer. The first curator hired LV Peng, a famous art historian, critic and curator. The museum opened on July 1, 2011.

Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum is divided into two floors: East and West. There are six halls a, B, C, D, e and F in the exhibition hall. The first floor of the West building is exhibition hall a, the second floor of Exhibition Hall B is low space, and the second floor of Exhibition Hall C is high space; the first floor of exhibition hall D of the East building is one floor, and the second floor is divided into e and f halls.

Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum is located in Tianfu Software Park, the largest single software park in Asia. It is close to Tianfu Avenue, the central axis of the city. Function of Art Gallery

The West building was opened in July 2011 with an area of 7500 square meters. The exhibition hall has two floors with an exhibition area of about 2000 square meters. The East building was put into use in June 2013 with an exhibition area of about 1340 square meters. The museum has a constant temperature and humidity collection room, a simultaneous interpretation academic lecture hall, a high-definition video and audio multi-function projection hall, a contemporary art book and literature center and other special exhibition and research space, as well as VIP rooms, MOCA shops, cafes, underground parking lots and other supporting facilities.

The main purposes of the museum are: to display contemporary art at home and abroad; to continuously collect contemporary art in different periods of China; to provide opportunities and conditions for Chinese and foreign scholars to study Chinese contemporary art directly and deeply; to provide space for Chengdu citizens to visit contemporary art and receive art education; to promote the prosperity and development of contemporary art in Chengdu through academic research and high-end exhibition.

The main purposes of Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum are: to display contemporary art at home and abroad; to continuously collect contemporary art in different periods of China; to provide opportunities and conditions for Chinese and foreign scholars to study Chinese contemporary art directly and deeply; to provide space for Chengdu citizens to visit contemporary art and receive art education; to promote the prosperity and development of contemporary art in Chengdu through academic research and high-end exhibition development.
